TAB offers an AI-powered chatbot (the “Chatbot”) designed to provide emotional support, empathetic conversations, and guidance through self-care exercises. The Chatbot is intended to serve as a self-help tool and does not constitute therapy or medical advice. The Chatbot currently integrates third-party API-generated outputs alongside rule-based content to deliver its functionality.
By using the Chatbot, you agree to these Terms of Use (the “Terms of Use”) and the privacy policy described in the link provided below (the “Privacy Policy”). These Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy are collectively referred to as the “Terms”.
These Terms govern your interaction with the Chatbot. If you have any questions about these Terms, please reach out to us at iris@tabhealth.ai. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, please refrain from using the Chatbot. Alternatively, you may access a list of 24-hour human-operated hotlines in Hong Kong, including The Samaritan Befrienders Hong Kong at 2389-2222, Samaritans Hong Kong at 2896-0000, and Suicide Prevention Services at 2382-0000.
We may modify these Terms from time to time to ensure the Chatbot functions effectively and complies with applicable laws. Changes will take effect immediately upon being posted. Your continued use of the Chatbot constitutes your acceptance of any updated Terms.
The Chatbot is intended to provide general emotional support and guidance for mental well-being but is not designed to offer condition-specific advice for complex medical conditions, such as chronic illnesses, cancer, infertility, or genetic disorders. Your use of the Chatbot does not constitute medical or mental health care, treatment, or advice, and no doctor-patient or professional-client relationship is established between you and TAB.
THE CHATBOT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR A LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST, THERAPIST, OR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. IT IS NOT DESIGNED TO ADDRESS CRISES SUCH AS ABUSE, SEVERE MENTAL HEALTH CONDITIONS, SUICIDAL IDEATION, SELF-HARM, OR ANY OTHER MEDICAL EMERGENCIES. IF YOU ARE IN IMMEDIATE DANGER OR REQUIRE URGENT ASSISTANCE, PLEASE CONTACT EMERGENCY SERVICES (E.G., CALL 999) OR YOUR LOCAL AUTHORITIES.
You assume all risks associated with using the Chatbot. We are not liable for any decisions or actions taken by you or any third party as a result of using the Chatbot, or based on the information provided by the Chatbot. This includes, but is not limited to, decisions to seek or not seek professional care, or to modify or terminate any treatment you are currently receiving based on the Chatbot’s information. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any damages arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your violation of applicable laws, (c) claims by third parties alleging your breach of these Terms, (d) information you provide to the Chatbot, or (e) your use of the Chatbot. Under no circumstances shall we be liable for any special, incidental, consequential, or indirect damages.
The Chatbot is provided on an “as is” basis and “as available” basis. We expressly disclaim all warranties and conditions of any kind, whether express or implied and make no warranty or representation that the Chatbot will (a) meet your requirements; (b) be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, bug-free, virus-free, or accurate; (c) fit for a particular purpose; or (d) meet your expectations. The foregoing disclaimers of liability apply to all damages or liability, including those caused by any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation or transmission, whether for breach of contract, tortious behavior, including negligence, or any other cause of action.
The Chatbot employs emerging Generative AI technologies which may occasionally produce outputs that are inaccurate, inappropriate, or repetitive. You should not rely solely on the Chatbot’s responses and are encouraged to verify any information independently or consult a qualified professional.
You agree to use the Chatbot only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the Chatbot by any third party. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to, engaging in unlawful, harassing, distressing, or disruptive behavior, transmitting obscene or offensive material, or attempting to discuss harmful, abusive, or illegal topics. You are also prohibited from evading security measures, analyzing, or reverse-engineering the Chatbot’s models, algorithms, prompts, or source code.
We reserve the right to unilaterally terminate your access to the Chatbot at any time, including if: (a) you violate these Terms, or (b) we determine that you would be better served by an alternative form of support.
All intellectual property rights, titles, and interests in the Chatbot, associated services, and materials provided by TAB shall remain exclusively owned by TAB, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Intellectual property rights include, but are not limited to, copyrights, trademarks, patents, database rights, trade secrets, and any other similar rights recognized worldwide.
Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Chatbot and related materials for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Any reproduction, modification, distribution, or commercial use of the Chatbot or its content without prior written permission from TAB is strictly prohibited.

You may contact us through approved third party websites, applications, or services (“Third Party Services”). However, these Terms only apply to you and us. We are not responsible for, and make no representations regarding the policies or practices of any Third Party Services. By using any such service to contact us, you agree to these Terms as well as the terms and policies of the Third Party Service. We encourage you to review their terms and policies before contacting us via those platforms. TAB is not responsible for the content, functionality, or user interactions on the websites or platforms of partner organizations where the Chatbot is integrated.
These Terms and the use of the Chatbot is governed solely by, and shall be construed according to, the laws of Hong Kong without giving effect to principles of conflict of law. You and us both consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts over all matters and disputes arising out of or in connection with the Chatbot.
We operate in Hong Kong. If you are located outside of Hong Kong, please be aware that any information you provide will be collected in or transferred to Hong Kong and used in accordance with Hong Kong laws. By using the Chatbot and/or providing us with your information, you consent to such collection, transfer, and use.
If a court finds any provision of these Terms to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent possible and the remaining Terms shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us, superseding any other written or oral agreements or understandings. The Terms of Use have been translated into Chinese. If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between the English version and the Chinese version, the English version shall prevail.
